The REITER YOUNG STARS will start in the final round of both the
GT4 European Series, and their own championship this weekend, and this time all eyes will be fixed on the remaining title contenders. Thanks to his great results in the last races, Norwegian Mads Siljehaug leads the overall standings with 118.5 points, but his tenacious rival, Germany’s Lenny Marioneck (107.5 points) is close behind him. Marioneck will do everything he can at his home races to get the better of Siljehaug. The third driver still in with a chance of the title is Belgium’s Jamie Vandenbalck (100 points). He is behind by a margin, but anything can happen in the turbulent GT4 European Series Northern Cup races.
A big crowd will also follow the last round of this increasingly popular GT4 category, and there will be no less than 38 cars contesting the finals in the Eifel region. The weather is set to provide an additional element of suspense. As is often the case at this track, heavy rain is forecast so it might be wet and, as predicted, there may be very cold temperatures. The fight amongst the student teams for the overall title is also likely to be a heart-stopper. RYS Team InterNetX leads the standings with 370 points in front of RYS Team WP with 360.25. RYS Team Pankl is currently third with 352 points.
