- KTM Enters Two SPX Vehicles Into the Popular Endurance Series with True Racing
- Johannes & Ferdinand Stuck, Reini Kofler and Klaus Angerhofermake up the first team
- "TAKIS", Gerald Kiska, Hubert Trunkenpolz & Klaus Angerhofer make up the second team
This coming weekend the third round of the 2018 Creventic 24H Series will take place. For the team of True Racing, however, it is the first long-distance appearance in the 2018 season, but at the same time also their premiere in Navarra, therefore, in this case past experience will not be a helping factor. For Team Principal Hubert Trunkenpolz, besides a good result, the focus is on gaining experience. After all, True Racing launches two completely redesigned KTM X-BOW GT4s in SPX configuration: "We made many changes to the engine over the winter break, The race in Navarra will be the first real test. Of course, we did a roll-out and first test drives, but the load in the race is something completely different. Anyway, we are looking forward to our first endurance event this year, both teams are definitely motivated. "
The vehicle with the start number 116 is piloted by works driver Reinhard Kofler together with the brothers Johannes and Ferdinand Stuck, the pair were very successful last season using the KTM X-Bow GT4 as their weapon on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Klaus Angerhofer, the fourth man to pilote this KTM X-BOW GT4 SPX, is the fast-paced amateur to comply with the Creventic series regulations (at least one "bronze" categorized driver must be competing on each SPX car and must at least drive one hour of the total race time). Clearly, the "professionals" are fully motivated, as Reinhard Kofler emphasizes: "The competition will not be numerically excessive, but qualitatively extremely strong. Nevertheless, we come to Navarra to bite the tails of one or the other GT3 teams. We are all very happy that the race weekends is finally here. The long-distance break has taken almost too long for all of us! "
The second team - on the KTM X-BOW GT4 SPX with the start number 117 - consists on the one hand of the already long-time proven pilot Hubert Trunkenpolz and Klaus Angerhofer, on the other hand of KTM chief designer Gerald Kiska, who after a long break gets behind the wheel again and from "TAKIS", who will bring in his experience from the VLN - where longer distances are required. Also mentioned here is Reinhard Kofler, but he will drive mostly on car 116.
